Enabling Javascript

To enable JavaScript in Internet Explorer:

  1. Select the Gear in the upper-right corner of the screen or the Tools menu if you have the menu bar enabled.
  2. Select Internet Options.
  3. Select Security > Internet > Custom Level...
  4. Scroll down to Scripting.
  5. Select the radio button Enable.
  6. Click OK, then OK again.
  7. Click the Refresh button to ensure that you have changed the settings correctly.

To enable JavaScript in Firefox:

  1. Open a Firefox browser window.
  2. In the URL window type about:config and click Enter.
  3. Click the “I’ll be careful, I promise!” warning message.
  4. In the Search window type javascript.enabled.
  5. Check the Value column next to the javascript.enabled result is set to True. If False, right click on the javascript.enabled result and click Toggle to change the Value to True.

To enable JavaScript in Safari:

  1. Select Preferences... from the Safari menu.
  2. Select Security from the top pane.
  3. Next to Web Content, ensure that Enable JavaScript is checked.
  4. Click the close button located on upper-right corner.
  5. Click the Refresh button to ensure that you have changed the settings correctly.

To enable JavaScript in Chrome:

  1. Click the Menu icon.
  2. Select Settings.
  3. Click the Show advanced settings... link.
  4. Under Privacy click Content Settings...
  5. Under Javascript select Allow all sites to run Javascript (recommended).
  6. Click the Done button on the Content Settings window.
  7. Close the Chrome Settings window.
  8. Click the Refresh button to ensure that you have changed the settings correctly.

When finished, please re-run the configuration test to make sure other required elements are in place.

Enabling Cookies

To enable Cookies in Internet Explorer:

  1. Select Internet Options... from the Tools menu.
  2. Select the Privacy tab.
  3. Set privacy bar to Medium.
  4. Click the OK button.
  5. Click the Refresh button to ensure that you have changed the settings correctly.

To enable Cookies in Safari:

  1. Select Preferences... from the Safari menu.
  2. Select Security from the top pane.
  3. Next to Accept Cookies, ensure that Never is not checked.
  4. Click the close button located on upper-right corner.
  5. Click the Refresh button to ensure that you have changed the settings correctly.

To enable Cookies in Firefox:

  1. Select Options... from the Tools menu.
  2. Select Privacy.
  3. Set Firefox Will: to Remember History.
  4. Click the OK button to Restart Firefox.
  5. Click the Refresh button to ensure that you have changed the settings correctly.

To enable Cookies in Chrome:

  1. Click the Tools menu.
  2. Select Settings.
  3. Click the Show advanced settings... link.
  4. Under Privacy click Content Settings...
  5. Under Cookies select Allow local data to be set (recommended).
  6. Click the Done button on the Content Settings window.
  7. Click the Close button on the Google Chrome Settings window.
  8. Click the Refresh button to ensure that you have changed the settings correctly.

To enable Cookies in Edge:

  1. Press the three-dot More Actions button on the top right.
  2. Select Settings from the menu that shows up.
  3. Click View Advanced Settings.
  4. Open the dropdown arrow under Cookies.
  5. Select Don’t block cookies.
  6. Exit Settings by clicking anywhere else on the page.
  7. Click the Refresh button to ensure that you have changed the settings correctly.

When finished, please re-run the configuration test to make sure other required elements are in place.
